In your own words, what does your company do?
Vivalatina is a B2C jewelry workshop focused on selling online worldwide. We make silver and gold jewelry for our own jewelry collections, and we also make custom jewelry for our clients. We are settled in Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico and we export mainly to Europe and the US.
We run our own workshop where our jewelry is made (we do not have subcontractors), and we run two online boutiques, www.vivalatina.fr for the French market and www.vivalatina-shop.com for the US market. We focus on quality over quantity, and the average sales price of our jewelry is 750 USD.

3 strategies that have worked to attract and retain customers?
โ To attract our customers, we rely 100% on Search Engine Optimization done in-house. We rely on very focused keyword search and we publish amazing content on our blog, allowing our clients to find with us the information they are looking for online and to discover our work in the jewelry workshop.
โ Our blog is the window by which our clients spy upon our shoulder to see what we do and how we do it. This is part of the funnel to make our blogโs readers our followers, and then our clients.
โ To be sure we retain our customers, we provide an efficient communication with our clients that is both fast and humane. We do not use automatized tools and we prefer one-to-one exchanges to make it human and personalized.
3 things that youโve learned about hiring and retaining great talent?
โ We conduct a detailed interview to have a good understanding of the aptitudes of the candidate and understand his past jobs. We focus on understanding his behaviour and why he chose a company and why he decided to leave. The goal is to understand the mindset of the candidate and see if it fits our requirement to join our small team.
โ Above the work abilities, we value the aptitude of the candidate to integrate the team, as we have a small team, a bad personality in the company acts as a wrecking ball on the company. We can provide the right training to the right person to get good results, but our experience has shown that a very capable employee with the wrong mindset gives terrible results.
โ To retain people of the team in the company, we provide a family environment where they feel safe, at ease to work and confident to talk about me about their work problems or personal troubles. I make a great deal of being flexible for them to solve their issues when they have to and the reward is a very good connection with every one of my team and a strong feeling of trust in both ways.
