In your own words, what does your company do?
ScrubzBody is a self-love, feel-good about yourself and your skin, company, that happens to sell natural skin care products.
We make body and face scrubs, lotions, creams, balms, and things that pamper and nourish. We sell products from other incredible makers who share our vision. Like Olive My Home candles and Alegna soap and bath bomb bubble joy, Bubbleaux by Purple Sage.
We host “Make Your Own Scrubz” Parties and we also help other makers create businesses of their own with our private label and wholesale side.

How does the company make money?
Our shop at 245 Main Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735 is our retail location, production facility, party place, and our shipping facility. On any given day we can make money with any mix of those metrics, or just a single one.
💰 A day with only walk-in customers, no online orders, parties, or wholesale orders
💰 A day with 2 parties, no walk-ins, and 2 online orders.
💰 A day with 2 wholesale/private label orders, a few walk-ins, and 4 online orders.
💰 A day when everything happens on one day. (we adore those days!!!)
3 strategies that have worked to attract and retain customers?
✅ Customer Service: There is nothing in the marketing world that is more powerful than treating customers properly and with the love and respect they deserve. This will be all the social proof you need as they share you with friends and family
✅ Find ways to save customers money without running sales. We have only 2 sales a year. Other times, we have a refill-your-jar program. Customers love saving the earth one jar at a time and they love saving real money!
✅ Have a great product or service that delivers on its promise. If for some reason a customer is not happy, address the problem and make it right.
3 things that you’ve learned about hiring and retaining great talent?
✅ Hire people who love you. My best friend quit her job and came to my rescue when my late sister Michelle passed. I was able to carry on the family feeling of my business without the usual transition time of training because she had always helped us out when needed in the past.
✅ Pay properly and offer mini bonuses throughout the year vs once a year at the holidays. Praise the good and explain the things that need fixing.
✅ Have a healthy, respectful atmosphere. Listen to what your employees say and use their ideas accordingly if they are good for the business. It will empower them to forever perform at a higher level.
