At Your Lessons Now LLC, we provide vocal coaching services for the transgender community, including a variety of gender-affirming services. This includes training to feminize the voice, masculinize the voice, and training the voice to be androgynous. Our instructors can prepare students to sing in their new voice, as well as speak with it.
We also offer music lessons in an LGBTQ+-friendly environment, which can doubly serve as a supplement to accelerate vocal training. Additionally, we can train students in fields such as audio engineering and voice acting. All of these secondary services greatly help with the student’s primary vocal goals.
Many of our instructors are part of the LGBTQ+ communities themselves, many have advanced degrees, and many others have worked in this field for years. Our company is unique in that various concepts are integrated into our approach. This includes but is not limited to, training in speech-language pathology, professional music experience, theater experience, training in voice acting, educational psychology, and a wide variety of personal techniques developed by the trans community themselves.
We offer our classes over Zoom so that students can learn comfortably, in a safe environment. We find that many students can find the process of seeking help stressful, complex, or impossible. We’re here to fill that gap and provide an important service for our community.

3 things that you’ve learned about hiring and retaining great talent?
✅ We focus on a wide spectrum of skills and educational backgrounds. A number of skills are beneficial to our product, and the more new ideas we integrate into our curriculum, the more effective we become.
✅ Flexibility will bring in stronger candidates. Many in the workforce today place a higher value on being able to spend more time with their families, and allowing everyone to work from home, as employees, has helped draw in stronger talent.
✅ Invest in your employees— we pay considerably more than others in similar professions, hire our staff as employees rather than contractors, offer PTO, and sick time, and offer health benefits to our full-time staff. They’re giving us our time, and we should respect that.
